Why These Prices?
Free Features: Minimal Cost
Creating designs and downloading PNGs costs us almost nothing because:
- All rendering happens in your browser (client-side)
- No server processing or storage required
- Images are generated on-demand from your device's memory
- We pay nothing for bandwidth or compute for these operations
Since our cost is near zero, we keep these features free forever.
Cloud Storage: Database + File Storage
Saving your designs to the cloud requires:
- Database writes and storage for design metadata
- File storage (Firebase Storage) for images and assets
- Ongoing storage costs that scale with your usage
- Backup and redundancy infrastructure
These services have real, recurring costs from our cloud provider.
Video Export: Server Processing
Exporting videos to MP4 requires:
- Server-side video encoding and rendering
- CPU-intensive frame composition
- Cloud function execution time and memory
- Video codec processing and compression
Unlike previews (which run in your browser), MP4 exports require expensive server compute.
AI Generation: Third-Party API Costs
AI text and image generation uses:
- OpenAI and Google Gemini APIs for text generation
- DALL-E and similar services for AI image creation
- Each generation costs us real money per API call
- Costs vary by complexity and model used
We pass through our actual costs plus a small markup to cover operational expenses.
How We Calculate Pricing
Our Formula
- Measure average usage across all users
- Calculate actual costs (storage, compute, API calls)
- Add 15% operational markup to cover infrastructure, development, and maintenance
- Add 5.5% for payment processing (Stripe's fee)
Example Calculation
Average user costs: $15.60/month
+ Operational markup (15%): $2.34
+ Stripe processing fee (5.5%): $1.06
Total subscription price: $19.00/month
AI overage pricing ($0.10 per generation) follows the same model, covering our third-party API costs plus the same operational and payment processing fees.
The Trade-Off: No Customer Support
To keep prices low, we provide the service "as is" with no customer support.
What we do:
If we discover a bug, we'll fix it in due time. The service works for the vast majority of users.
Providing customer support would require hiring a support team, which would force us to increase prices significantly. If you need guaranteed support, consider tools with enterprise pricing.
You can unsubscribe anytime if you're not happy with the service or our approach.
Payment Processing
We use Stripe to process all payments securely.
- Stripe charges us 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, plus additional fees for international cards
- We account for an average of 5.5% in total payment processing costs
- All payment data is handled by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified)
- We never see or store your credit card information
